Description:

Nassarius snails are the ninja scavengers of the reef tank world. Buried under the sand with only a periscope-like siphon sticking out, they spring to life the moment food enters the water, zipping across the substrate with surprising speed. Unlike herbivorous snails, Nassarius focus on cleaning up leftover meaty foods and detritus, making them excellent at preventing waste buildup in the sandbed. They’re peaceful, highly beneficial, and help keep anaerobic zones in check. Just don’t expect them to tackle algae—they’re all about the meat. Ideal for tanks with sandbeds and messy eaters like wrasses or carnivorous fish.
