Diet: Herbivore – primarily grazes on marine algae; supplement with nori, spirulina, and quality herbivore pellets. Will also accept mysis and brine shrimp.
Care Level: Moderate to Difficult – requires a large, stable aquarium (at least 500 L) with abundant swimming space and grazing opportunities.
Aggression: Semi-aggressive – generally peaceful but may be territorial with other tangs, especially of similar shape.

Notes:
Juveniles are yellow with faint markings, while adults develop the signature grey-blue body and bold orange shoulder patch. This species is active, fast-moving, and best suited for larger reef aquariums. Provide ample live rock for grazing and open water for swimming.
