Reef Alchemy: Stomatella contains 10 stomatella snails to help establish a population of this hardy clean up crew in your tank.

Stomatella snails are one of the best CUC around. However, they are almost never available for sale. There are a few reasons for this, the first of which is harvest/collection is very difficult. Stomatellas have a beautiful defence mechanism 'Autolysis', this means that like some Geckos, Stomatella will drop their tail when attacked. The tail then continues to wiggle around whilst the snail escapes. This means that they must be harvested in certain ways.

They are also smaller than common trade snails but reproduce in huge numbers. They are perfect for controlling nuisance algae.
